Green Ridge Man Arrested For Alleged Sex Crimes

A detective with the Sedalia Police Department's Crime Resolution Unit conducted a vehicle stop at West 10th Street and South Limit Avenue Tuesday afternoon for a traffic violation.

During the stop, the detective smelled the odor of illegal drugs coming from the vehicle, which led to a probable cause search of the vehicle.

During the search, items related to illegal drug activity were found and seized.

Further during the contact, the passenger, Stanton Tray Vaughn, 20, of Green Ridge, was found to be a Fugitive From Justice from the state of Oklahoma for sex crimes.

Vaughn was arrested without incident and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
