A Holden man was injured Thursday night in a one-vehicle accident in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2013 Ford driven by 18-year-old Wilder R. Bruns of Holden, was westbound at 733 SW 800th Road at 10:22 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Bruns suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The Ford was totaled and secured on scene.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol.

Bruns was later arrested by the Patrol at 11:13 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
