On Saturday at 9:07 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a maroon Jeep with an expired temp tag at Broadway and Center.

The Jeep also made an improper turn from South New York onto East Broadway.

Investigation revealed that one occupant was in possession of methamphetamine and related paraphernalia.

36-year-old Jamie F. Fico, homeless, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Once at the jail, staff used a body scanner, which revealed the suspect had additional quantities of drugs secreted inside her person. The suspect ultimately retrieved the drugs, which were determined to be meth and fentanyl.

Fico was placed on a 24-hour hold, and charged with 2nd degree drug trafficking, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and concealing a controlled substance in a county jail.
