Two people were injured in a weather-related wreck in Johnson County Wednesday morning.

According to the MSHP, a westbound 2006 Ford F-150 driven by 58-year-old Alan D. Daniels of Knob Noster was on US 50, west of Missouri 131 at 8:05 a.m,, when he lost control on the ice-covered roadway, and slid off the left side of the road and into the median, then onto the eastbound lanes where he struck an eastbound 2010 Chevy Traverse driven by 65-year-old Sandra D. Haught of Holden.

Daniels suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment on the scene. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Haught suffered serious injuries and was transported to Research Hospital by JCAD. It was unknown if she was wearing a seat belt.

Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
