Sedalia Police responded to the CVS Pharmacy, 100 East Broadway Boulevard Wednesday afternoon to assist with a subject check.

Officers made contact with the suspect, who refused to leave the property. When Officers contacted the suspect to ask him to leave, he became belligerent. During the incident, the suspect began yelling racial slurs, and threatening to shoot Officers.

Jonathan M. Roste, 32, of Independence, was taken into custody without further incident. Roste was transported the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold. Charges of 1st Degree Trespassing and 4th Degree Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer were sought against Roste.

Later in the week, Officers responded to the 200 the block of West Broadway Boulevard for a theft report early Friday morning. Officers arrived on scene and determined that a theft had occurred and the suspect was taken into custody.

Roste was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked on felony Stealing. Roste was held on a 24-hour hold, pending charges.
