An Independence woman was injured Tuesday morning in a Johnson County accident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2005 Honda Accord, driven by 44-year-old Julie R. Gunter of Independence, was on Missouri 13, when she failed to observe a dump truck turning onto NE 950 at 10:30 a.m., and traveled off the right side of the roadway, through a ditch, and onto NE 950, striking a westbound 1998 Buick Lesabre, driven by 42-year-old Nicholas J. Stewart of Warrensburg. The Accord then struck a westbound 2019 Dodge Ram 2500.

Gunter suffered minor injuries, and was treated and released on scene.

The Honda had extensive damage, while the Buick had moderate damage. The Dodge had minor damage.

The Buick and Accord were towed from the scene.
