An Ionia woman died as a result of a motorcycle crash that occurred Friday evening in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2018 Harley Davidson, driven by 72-year-old Linda S. Browning of Ionia, was at 12277 Wienberg Avenue around 7:05 p.m., when the driver accelerated instead of braking. The cycle then drove up an embankment before ejecting both the driver and the passenger, 49-year-old Paul S. Browning, also of Ionia.
