Jeff City Woman Killed in Cole County Accident

A Jeff City woman was killed in a Cole County accident on Monday.

According to the MSHP, 68-year-old Pamela K. Carsten was the driver of an eastbound 2013 Ford F-150 on US 54 at Gray Road at 11:50 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.

Carsten was transported to University of Missouri by MU Air Care and was later pronounced deceased by Dr. Christopher Nelson at 1:17 p.m.

She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the report said. The Ford was totaled.
