Johnson Co. Deputies Arrest Man on Felony Assault Warrant

Johnson County deputies recently arrested a 30-year old man on a felony assault warrant.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Department, on Friday (Oct 5) deputies attempted to make contact with Jacob Mallicoat, at the 20 block of NE V Hwy in reference to an active felony assault warrant out of Warren County.

Deputies reportedly located Mallicoat inside a camper but he refused to surrender. Mallicoat allegedly told deputies he had a knife and would hurt himself. Deputies then made entry and located Mallicoat holding a knife.

He dropped the knife and was arrested. Mallicoat was taken to the Johnson County Jail with a bond of $25,000.00.
