A two-vehicle accident in Johnson County injured a woman and her infant child, the Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported.

23-year-old Mackenzie K. Hill of Whiteman AFB was the driver of a westbound 2015 Nissan Sentra on US 50, just west of the Knob Noster city limits at 8:09 a.m. Wednesday morning, when the vehicle slammed into a westbound John Deere road grader driven by 53-year-old Kenneth E. Edwards of Chilhowee.

The impact caused the Sentra to overturn, according to the report. Hill suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. Wyatt Hill, age 0, suffered minor injuries and was also transported to Western Missouri Medical Center. Both were wearing safety devices.

Edwards was reportedly uninjured. He was also wearing a safety device.

The road grader had minor damage and was towed by private vehicle, while the Nissan Sentra was totaled and towed from the scene.
