KC Man Injured at Blue Springs Lake

A Kansas City man was injured in a swimming accident that occurred Saturday in Jackson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 36-year-old Sean M. Sheridan of Kansas City was on a 2016 Playcraft pontoon on Blue Springs Lake at 6:35 p.m., when he dove into shallow water and struck the bottom of the lake in the south cove on the east side of the lake.

Sheridan was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by EMS for treatment of serious injuries.
