KC Pedestrian Struck & Killed in Bates County
A Kansas City man was struck & killed early Tuesday morning in Bates County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 57-year-old Jerry D. Urick of Kansas City, was on I-49 at the 137.6 mile marker (north of Passaic) around 3 a.m., when a northbound 2019 Chevy Malibu, driven by 30-year-old Brian N. Moss of Nevada, Mo., struck Urick in the roadway.

Urick was pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedic C. Stark at 7:50 a.m. The body was taken to the Bates County Coroner's Office.
The Malibu had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
Bates County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
