Leeton Woman Injured When She Avoids A Deer
A Leeton woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Friday morning in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2007 Buick Lacerne, driven by 60-year-old Barbara J. Smith of Leeton, was on SW 910 Road, east of SW 21 Road at 10:39 a.m., when the driver attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway and traveled off the left side. The Buick struck a post and rocks, and came to rest in a shallow creek.
Smith suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
The Buick had moderate damage, and was towed by Tip Top Towing.
