A Lincoln man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday night in Benton County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Brandon Hardesty was the driver of a 2005 Toyota Scion TC on Route W at Wurdemen Avenue at 8:44 p.m., when he ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Hardesty was flown to University Hospital in Columbia by Life Flight Eagle for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Scion was totaled.

Benton County Sheriff's deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
