Man Awakened by Police, Then Arrested On $20,000 Warrants
A Sedalia man was awakened by Police, then arrested after it was discovered he was wanted on two failure to appear warrants.
According to a Sedalia Police report, Officer Barrett responded to the 1200 block of Liberty Park Boulevard on a report of an unconscious man lying on the ground Friday morning.
Turns out, he was only sleeping.
A computer check of the man, however, revealed he was wanted on two failure to appear Pettis County warrants totaling $20,000.
32-year-old James E. Chapman was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was held pending the posting of $20,000 in bond money. His court date was to be determined.
