Marshall Woman Injured in Head-on Crash

A Marshall woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Howard County Wednesday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 1999 Jeep Compass, driven by 22-year-old Alexander R. Osborn of Paris, crossed the center line on Missouri 5 at Missouri 240 at 7:49 p.m., and struck a northbound 2013 Volkswagen Beetle head-on.

The driver of the VW, 17-year-old Danielle L. Snyder of Marshall, suffered serious injuries and was transported by Howard County Ambulance to University Hospital. Osborn suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed.

Glasgow Police and Howard County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
