On Sunday morning, Sedalia Police arrested 41-year-old Jason T. Milburn of Sedalia after an officer recognized a vehicle connected to a burglary case and conducted a traffic stop at Marshall and Broadway.

According to a report, the suspect admitted to the burglary, and Milburn was taken into custody. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, and was charged with 2nd degree burglary and stealing.

He now faces additional charges after police took a report of a sexual assault involving a child in the 1000 block of North Grand.

According to a report, Milburn allegedly provided controlled substances and alcohol to a child, then sexually assaulted the child. The case has been assigned to the Criminal Investigations Bureau for further investigation.

Milburn is charged with 2nd degree child molestation, 1st degree sexual abuse, 1st degree endangering the welfare of a child, delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful transactions with a child, and supplying alcohol to a minor.

Milburn's bond was set at $25,000.
