Motorcycle accident injures a Clinton man after striking a bird

At 5:20pm Sunday evening the Missouri state Highway Patrol reported an injury accident involving a motorcycle. According to the report the accident occurred on Route “C” two-tenths of a mile west of Route “E” in Benton County, as the 2010 Kawasaki Vulc an Motorcycle driven by Steven L. Dyrland of Clinton crested a hill and struck a large bird. Dyrland reportedly lost control of the motorcycle, and overturned ejecting both occupants. Dyrland suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton for treatment. The passenger had minor injuries, but refused treatment at the scene.

Mayview man injured in a Lafayette County accident Sunday

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report a Mayview man was injured in a one-vehicle on Route “FF” a half mile East of Rocky Ridge in Lafayette County.  The accident report states 40-year-old Robert D. Bedford  lost control on a curve travelled off the roadway several times, and impacting ditches on both sides of the roadway before coming to a stop. Bedford was transported by EMS to Lafayette County Regional Hospital in Lexington for treatment of what were described as moderate injuries.

Sunday morning crash in Henry County injures a Springfield man

Around 11:40 Sunday morning 22-year-old Liu Yue of Springfield lost control of his 2011 Toyota while attempting a turn into a private business on 217 North West Road, and Highway “7” in Henry County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states the Yue vehicle travelled off the roadway and struck a sign. Yue received moderate injuries and was transported to Golden Valley Hospital by Golden Valley EMS for treatment.
