ATV accident in Benton County injures two Harrisonville youths

At 10:30am Sunday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Bent Tree Harbor Road at Elk Ridge Drive in Benton County. According to the report the accident occurred as the driver of a Yamaha Bruin ATV, 17-year-old Brittney Bedsaul of Harrisonville swerved to avoid another ATV, and overturned several times. Bedsaul and her passenger 5-year-old Ava L. Weaver also of Harrisonville were ejected from the ATV. Bedsaul suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Staff of Life Air Ambulance for treatment. Weaver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Rollover accident reported in Johnson County Saturday afternoon

Just after 1pm Saturday afternoon 16-year-old Kayleigh T. Fosnow of Windsor lost control of the 2002 Jeep Liberty she was driving, and ran off the right side of the roadway. The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states Fosnow then overcorrected, returned to the roadway, ran off the right side of the roadway again, into an embankment, and overturned. The accident reportedly occurred on “WW” South of Southeast 1050 Road in Johnson County. Fosnow was taken by ambulance to Golden Valley Hospital for treatment of what were described as moderate injuries.

Two Warsaw women suffer injuries in a Benton County accident Monday morning

Around 9:45 Monday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two vehicle accident on Route “K” a tenth of a mile East of Missouri 83 in Benton County. The accident reportedly occurred as a 1996 Ford F-150 driven by 51-year-old Sharron Ford of Warsaw, was slowing to  make a right turn, when the 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 39-year-old Curtis E. Decker also of Warsaw overtook, and struck the Ford vehicle in the rear. Ford and a passenger in the Decker vehicle 36-year-old Kristy Miller of Warsaw both suffered moderate injuries in the collision, and were transported to Bothwell Hospital by Warsaw/Lincoln EMS for treatment.

Lexington woman injured in a Lafayette County accident Monday afternoon

At 4:40 Monday afternoon The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident, that occurred on Missouri Highway 13 North of Missouri 224 in Lafayette County. The accident reportedly happened when the driver of a 2003 Dodge Grand caravan, 75-year-old Rose A. Seitz of Lexington was startled by a passing vehicle, and ran off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a concrete barrier totaling the Caravan. Seitz received moderate injuries in the accident, and was taken to Ray County Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment.
