Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident Reports For Wednesday July 22, 2015

3-vehicle accident in Lafayette County injures a man and 4-children Tuesday night

At 7:43pm Tuesday night The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a three-vehicle accident on US-24 Highway at Missouri Highway 131. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2002 Dodge driven by 16-year-old Austin L. Ryun of Wellington Missouri failed to yield to a 2005 Chevrolet driven by 38-year-old Eduardo-Rosales Gayton of Kansas City Kansas. The Ryun vehicle struck the Gayton vehicle, then struck a 2001 Mercedes driven by Jamie K. White of Wellington. Gayton and a passenger in his vehicle 10-year-old Kevin Holguin of Kansas City Kansas along with a passenger of the White vehicle, 11-year-old Michael Jeffry also of Kansas City Kansas suffered serious injuries in the crash. Ryun received moderate injuries. the four victims were transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment. A passenger in the Ryun vehicle, 14-year-old Shawn Howell of Wellington received minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Lafayette Regional.

29-year-old man injured in a one-vehicle accident in Lafayette County Tuesday morning

Around 4:45am Tuesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on I-70 at 58 ERM in Lafayette County. The accident happened according to the report as a 2015 Freightliner driven by 43-year-old Anthony S. Woodberry of Jacksonville Florida ran off of the roadway and overturned. A passenger in the vehicle 29-year-old Keith E. Smiley of Marietta Georgia received minor injuries and was taken to I-70 Medical Center by Concordia EMS for treatment.
