UPDATE: Morgan County Authorities Charge Suspects in Double Homicide

UPDATE: Morgan County prosecutors have charged three people with the murder of Carol and Freddy Wilson. Garland Mitchell, 46, and Mandy Mitchell, 28, both of Jefferson City and Derrell Spellmeyer, 44, of Eldon have each been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action. They are all being held on $1 million bond.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control are currently investigating a double homicide. 53-year old Carol Wilson and 66-year old Freddie Wilson were shot to death in their home located between Versailles and Gravois Mills on Monday morning (Feb. 4).

Three suspects are in custody for the double homicide.  They are being investigated, but their names have not yet been released. Charges are expected to be filed this morning against the two men and one woman.

The three suspects have been placed on a 24-hour hold while police investigate.
