30-year-old man arrested on a Johnson County warrant Wednesday night

At 10:30pm Wednesday night Sedalia police arrested 30-year-old Joseph A. Markes of Sedalia on a failure to appear warrant out of Johnson County. Bond on the warrant was $100 cash only.

Woman’s vehicle suffers extensive damage at the hands of vandals

On Wednesday a female victim went to the Sedalia police Station to report her vehicle had been tampered with sometime over the last weeks while it was parked in front of her residence in the 500 block of West 7th. According to the victim the damage has been estimated at approximately $2000. There were no suspects at news time.

Weed-Eater reported stolen in the 800 block of East 19th on Monday

A victim in the 800 block of east 19th filed a burglary complaint with the Sedalia Police Monday. The victim told the officers someone forced entry to the residence through the back door, and stole a Weed-eater from his garage. There were no suspects at news time.

Thieves steal a van seat from a shed on North Grand

Just after 11:30am Wednesday morning Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 300 block of North Grand. The victim reported a van’s bench seat was taken from a shed on his property. The seat was last seen Monday according to the victim
