Sedalia man arrested for attempted rape, sodomy, and resisting arrest Sunday evening

At 6pm Sunday Evening Sedalia Police investigated a reported sex crime in the 200 block of Scott Joplin Court. The police report states a suspect identified as 40-year-old Antonio Lavalle Hardison of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of attempted rape, sodomy, and resisting arrests.

46-year-old woman arrested for endangering the welfare of a child

Just before midnight Thursday night Sedalia Police reportedly responded to a residence in the 400 block of North Grand numerous times on an ongoing domestic dispute between two intoxicated subjects. The Sedalia Police report states during the last response it was revealed, that the suspect 46-year-old Edna Ann Iman of the residence had assaulted the victim while holding a minor child. Iman was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending 3rd degree domestic assault, and 2nd degree endangering the welfare of a child. The police report also states the child was taken into protective custody due to the dangerous environment, and released to the Division of Family Services.

34-year-old Sedalia man arrested for neglect of a child Saturday

At 5:33 Saturday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of West 5th on a civil standby. Upon arrival officers ran information on both subjects through dispatch. According to dispatch one of the subjects 34-year-old Kevin W. Chastain had a confirmed warrant out of Cass County form neglect of a child. Chastain was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $1000 bond on the warrant.

Man on a bike arrested on multiple charges

Around 2am Sunday morning Sedalia Police were conducting a building check in the 400 block of west 2nd. The police report states a suspect was located riding a bike, and he resisted when the officers attempted to stop him. 54-year-old James Carter Edwards III was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail on charges of failure to obey resisting arrest, obedience to traffic control device, and lights and reflectors for bicycles. Bond was set at $701.50.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a 23-year-old Sedalia man Sunday afternoon

At 2:25 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 6th and Wagner for a defective tail light A computer check revealed the driver 23-year-old Christopher Battles of Sedalia had a probation violation warrant out of Johnson County. At the time of the police report Battles was in the Pettis County jail pending a $5000 bond.

Man stopped for a defective tail light arrested on a warrant

Just after midnight Sunday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for a defective tail light. The driver 22-year old Donald Ray Lutjen Jr. was also found to have a municipal failure to appear warrant. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $150.
Asset Protection personnel at Walmart capture two shoplifters

At 3:12 Friday afternoon Sedalia police were dispatched to the Walmart store on two shoplifters in the custody of Asset Protection Personnel. Upon arrival the Asset Protection Personnel told the officers they had observed 25-year-old Guadalupe Alejandra Mendoza, and 24-year-old San Juanita Mendoza put items in a purse. Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where they were booked and released pending a court date.

Accident investigation results in arrest for a Sedalia woman

Around 10:20 Friday night Sedalia Police investigated a private property accident. Upon arrival neither driver was injured in the crash, but one of them Viktoriya Formuzan was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was booked and released pending a court date.

At 11:11 Sunday morning 23-year-old Janeth Gonzalas was arrested for a failure to appear warrant, and for driving without a license. Bond was set at $250 cash.
