Multiple Arrests Made During Sedalia Police Special Operation

Sedalia Police recently conducted a special operation that included saturation patrols in areas around Sedalia with high incident rates for drug activity which resulted in multiple arrests.

Police say the operation was conducted December 5, 6, and 7. The group is a proactive unit that consists of Patrol Officers and Detectives from the Sedalia Police Department. A press release from SPD says when activated, this unit analyzes crime trends in the community and targets the areas of highest concern.

Officers made 53 traffic stops and 14 arrests. Eight of these arrests were for drugs. Throughout the operation, police seized heroin, ecstasy, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The stops also resulted in the clearance of 8 outstanding arrest warrants.
