Odessa Man Injured in Lafayette County Crash
An Odessa man was injured in a one-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday night in Lafayette County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2002 GMC Sierra, driven by 48-year-old Timothy P. Kelsey of Odessa, was on Highway OO, west of Ed’s Road around 7:20 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway.
The driver overcorrected and the GMC struck an embankment. The truck then overturned and Kelsey was ejected.
Kelsey suffered serious injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Sierra was totaled and towed from the scene.
Odessa Police assisted the Troopers.
Kelsey was later arrested by the Patrol at 7:49 p.m. He now faces charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash, and no seat belt.
