On Monday, Nov. 22, at approximately 6:16 a.m., members of the Crime Resolution Unit and Tactical Entry Unit responded to 306 North Heard Avenue to serve a search warrant related to an ongoing drug investigation.

At the residence, entry was gained through the front door where contact was made with three adult subjects and two juveniles. The male suspect believed to be involved in the illegal drug activity was detained without incident.

A detailed search of the male suspect’s room revealed a large quantity of methamphetamine, prescription pills, marijuana, US currency believed to be the profit of illegal drug sales and additional evidence to further indicate the male was involved in methamphetamine and marijuana distribution. The residence at 306 N. Heard Ave. is located within 1,000 feet of a nearby park, a protected location.

At the conclusion of the investigation, the male suspect was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.

The suspect and state charges being sought are as follows:

Aaron A. Kempf, 31 years old
1st Degree Drug Trafficking (Methamphetamine)
Distribution Of A Controlled Substance Within A Protected Location (Methamphetamine)
Distribution Of A Controlled Substance Within A Protected Location (Marijuana)
Possession Of A Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone)
Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
