One Arrested When SPD Serves Drug-Related Search Warrant
On Friday, July 14 at approximately 9:40 a.m., the Sedalia Police Department Crime Resolution Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force responded to 410 North Hurley to serve a drug-related search warrant.
Upon arrival, entry was made and five adults subjects were found inside the residence. After everyone was safe and secured detectives searched the residence and located a substantial amount of fentanyl along with methamphetamine, Suboxone and Oxycodone.
At the conclusion of the investigation, one subject was determined to be involved in the illegal activity and he was arrested. Officers then transported him to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
36-year-old Lukas E. Ellis, 410 North Hurley, Sedalia, now faces charges of:
• Trafficking Drugs, 2nd Degree
• Delivery of a Controlled Substance
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
