The Sedalia Police Latent Investigations Unit has been investigating a string of salon burglaries, thefts from vehicles and a vehicle theft in Sedalia that began in April and continued with irregular occurrences until June 16.

Detectives conducted a lengthy investigation with multiple search warrants, following up on every lead, and conducting interviews.

The CRU conducted special night operations working to identify and arrest the suspect(s).

The investigation came to a head when detectives received a tip that lead to a search warrant in the 2500 block of South Woodlawn Drive on June 17.

During the search warrant items that were stolen from the salons were located, among other items of contraband. One juvenile subject was taken into custody and charges against other juveniles are being requested.

The names of the juveniles are being withheld due to their age.

Thank you to The Pettis County Juvenile Office which also assisted with the investigation.
