Peculiar Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident in Jackson County

A Peculiar man was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred Thursday morning in Jackson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2009 Suzuki G650, driven by 37-year-old Justin M. Wages of Peculiar, was on I-470 at the 15.2 mile marker around 5:30 a.m., when the motorcycle traveled off the left side of the roadway, ejecting the driver.

Wages was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:13 a.m., by Dr. Rodenburg.

Lee's Summit and Independence Police assisted the Patrol.
