A Pleasant Hill man was killed early Monday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Camden County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2000 Ford F-150 driven by 29-year-old Robert O. Goin of Pleasant Hill, was southbound on Missouri 5, 385 feet south of Missouri 7 south junction around 3:20 a.m., when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line and struck a post. The driver then overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Goin was pronounced dead at the scene by Camden County Medical Examiner Crystal Lloyd at 3:40 a.m. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report. The body was taken to Hedges Scott Funeral Home.

The Ford was totaled.

Camden County deputies assisted the Trooper at the scene.
