
Raytown Pedestrian Killed on I-70
A Raytown woman was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler on I-70 early Wednesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 61-year-old Jamie L. Barnett of Raytown was struck by an eastbound 2013 Freightliner, driven by 37-year-old Christopher D. Johnson of Dandridge, Tennessee at 1 a.m., in Saline County at the 65 mile marker (one mile west of Sweet Springs).
Barnett was pronounced dead at 2:04 a.m., by Saline County Deputy Coroner F. Nold. The body was taken to the Saline County Medical Examiner's Office.
Saline County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
