Sacred Heart dropped a tough one on Saturday falling 2-1 to Pleasant Hill. Sacred Heart struck first when Juan Fernandez won a PK for the Grems.

Sophomore Ian Viscarra took the penalty and put the Gremlins up 1-0. A few minutes later Fernandez again beat his defender and was taken down in the box. The Gremlins failed to covert the second penalty and went to halftime with a 1 goal advantage.

The second half started with a hand ball in the box by Pleasant Hill on a Fernandez shot and a third PK opportunity. The Gremlins once again failed to convert and could not increase their lead.

The communication efforts of the defensive back line doomed the Gremlins as Pleasant Hill scored with fifteen minutes left in the game. With five minutes remaining, a Pleasant Hill attacker countered off a Gremlins corner kick and dribbled the ball from half-line all the way to the Gremlins six and scored the game winner. The Gremlins fall to 6-5 on the year.

Sacred Heart plays Lutheran KC (1-10) Monday on the road.
