Sacred Heart Posts Three Losses, One Tie at Hillcrest

Sacred Heart played in the Springfield Hillcrest Classic on Saturday.

In pool play:

SH lost two sets to Waynesville 12-25 & 19-25.

SH lost in two sets to Joplin 12-25 & 21-25.

In the final match of pool play SH tied Clever losing set 1, 22-25 and winning 25-16.

SH carried the momentum into bracket play vs Lebanon early jumping out to a five-point lead before eventually losing, 20-25 & 19-25.

Overall it was a good day for the Gremlins. "We battled through some injuries and that will help us develop the mental toughness needed to compete on a nightly basis in the Kaysinger Conference," said Coach David Fall.

The Lady Gremlins (3-4-1) travel to Columbia to take on Hickman (8-4-1)  on Monday, and open Conference play Tuesday at Lincoln.
