Sacred Heart hosted the Marshall Owls Monday night in their home opener volleyball game.

Sacred Heart JV lost 21-25 & 13-25.

Sacred Heart Varsity won in four sets 25-19, 25-12, 18-25, 25-17.

Senior Kiley Beykirch and Junior Emma Siron contributed significantly to the Gremlin's leadership on the floor and led the offense finishing the night with 10 and 17 kills.  Both Beykirch and Siron had 13 assists.

Tonight was a big success for Junior Kate Carney who 6 kills and 2 blocks at the net.  Carney took a year off volleyball last season and competed in golf.  She is becoming more comfortable and we will definitely be looking at her to help us this season.

Sophomore Emily Hesse proved to be a leader at the serving line with five aces.

Both teams will play again at home Thursday, Sept. 2 vs Crest Ridge.
