SCEA Honored at Relay for Life Event
The Sedalia Community Educators Association was honored during the 2017 Pettis County Relay for Life, as the event's Top Sponsor.
The group donated more than $2,300. SCEA, which is comprised of Sedalia School District 200 employees, raised the funds through a district-wide Jeans Day.
"Cancer, unfortunately, effects us all and we need to find a cure for it," said SCEA President Andrea Young. "The American Cancer Society does so much for our local cancer patients and for cancer research. I feel our contribution is going to an amazing cause and going towards seeing more birthdays."
