Every year, Sedalia gets an influx of music fans from all over the world with the Scott Joplin Festival.Scott Joplin and his compositions are a big part of Sedalia's history, and the festival celebrates that.  The music is the main attraction, with performers and experts from all over America and the world bringing their perspectives to our small midwestern town.   There are several free and paid shows throughout the festival, and the performers list is always impressive.  This year, they have a huge list of entertainers: Jacob Adams, After-Hours Trio, Paul Asaro, Jeff Barnhart, Al Brune, Brooks Christensen, Kylan de Ghetaid, Bill Edwards, Richard Egan, Tom Finger, Fred Hoeptner, Brian Holland, Ivory & Gold, “Tuby” Ed Judd, Sue Keller, Max Keenlyside, Scott Kirby, Frank Livolsi, Dr. Dave Majchrzak, Scott Miller, Gerald Mohr, Dick Moulding, Galen Parker, Jim Radloff, John Reed-Torres, David Reffkin, John Remmers, Dalton Ridenhour, Barron Ryan, Donald Ryan, Eric Shore, Daniel Souvigy Steve Standiford, Leanne Suffern, Monty Suffern, Adam Swanson, Kathy Teck, Stephanie Trick, Dave Tucker, Bryan Wright, Tex Wyndham,  and Susan & Dina Young.  I got to talk with Kyle Siegel, one of the organizers behind the event, about the festival and all the details.
