Sedalia Police arrested 59-year-old Daniel Schliessman, III, at 3402 West Broadway, Saturday morning after officers checked on a suspicious vehicle parked in the Motel 6 lot. A man was found to be in possession of meth, and also was a felon in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. Schliessman was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a subject check at Warehouse Tires, 4004 South Limit, on Friday morning around 11. Three people were questioned, one of whom was wanted on a Crawford County warrant for littering. 23-year-old James C. Williams, Jr., of Knob Noster, was arrested, and a search revealed a bag of marijuana. Williams was taken to the Pettis County Jail and issued a Municipal summons for the marijuana and given a May 29 court date.


 

Sedalia Police responded to an assault call at 3201 W. Broadway on Sunday afternoon just before 2 p.m. According to a report, 19-year-old Alex Clarence Esser was accused of assaulting two victims at that location. Esser was known to the victims from previous interactions, it was noted. The victims had minor injuries, and Esser later came to the SPD where he admitted to the assault. He was booked on charges of 1st degree peace disturbance and 4th degree assault and released.


 

Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested Scott Leland White on Pettis and Benton county warrants on Sunday afternoon. White was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was held on a total bond amount of $9,000.


 

Pettis County deputies arrested Roy L. Neighbors of Sedalia on a Municipal warrant on Monday just after midnight. His bond was $60.
