Sedalia Police reports 4-3-19

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 28-year-old Megan L. Crabb of Sedalia at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday in Pettis County. She was charged with DWI, Driving While Suspended and Careless and Imprudent Driving. She was later released.


 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 37-year-old Kirk A. Riley of Sedalia at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday in Saline County. He was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), and Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance.


 

Sedalia Police were called to a disturbance at 7th and Hancock Monday afternoon. The caller was located at 5th and Hancock, where the caller said the other party had already left. A computer check revealed the caller had two felony probation violations out of Johnson County. 33-year-old Walter L. Ford was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $20,000 cash bond.


 

On Saturday night around 11:30, Sedalia Police were called to the 1300 block of South Carr, where they found an intoxicated man slamming full cans of beer on the ground so they would explode. It was discovered that one can broke the complainant's window, and another cracked his siding. 23-year-old Jay John of Sedalia was arrested for property destruction and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 12-hour protective custody hold.


 

36-year-old Jimmy Lee Linley was arrested for 2nd degree domestic assault after his roommate called and complained to Sedalia Police that he punched him in the face in the 200 block of West Henry at 3:43 a.m. Sunday. The caller refused medical treatment.


 

On March 28, an employee of Woods East, 701 E. Broadway, reported that a customer requested change for large bills for small bills. The customer them changed his mind and left the scene, but was able to take an undisclosed amount of money provided to him, according to a report.


 

On Tuesday, a woman reported that her white 2007 Chevy Silverado HD 2500 was taken from her residence sometime between March 29 and April 2. Investigation revealed that it had been towed in Kansas City on April 1.


 

On March 31, a caller said a witness told him two males were throwing landscaping bricks at his 2006 Chevy Impala. According to a report, the witness yelled at them, and the suspects left the area. The men did $250 of damage to the Impala. The suspects have not yet been apprehended.


 

Sedalia Police took a burglary report in the 1800 block of S. Sneed late Sunday night around 11. The suspect entered the residence, caused damage, and stole some items.


 

On Monday at 3:03 a.m. at 3201 W. Broadway, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a driver for a lane violation and no license plate light. 22-year-old Crystal M. Mullin was found to be intoxicated. She was charged with DWI after she submitted a breath sample at the SPD. Mullin was issued a citation.
