Just after 7:00 Tuesday night (June 20), Sedalia Police responded to the 200 block of South Ohio in reference to a subject with a warrant. According to the report, a computer check revealed a man had a warrant from Johnson County. The man is identified as 25-year old Matthew Morgan Thomas, of Centerview, MO. Thomas was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a $10,000 bond.


Around 10:15 Tuesday night (June 20), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 16th Street and South Kentucky Ave. The driver reportedly had a suspended license. The driver, 21-year old Wyatt D. Short, was arrested for driving while suspended. Short was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, with a court date of August 2, 2017.


Around 4:45 Tuesday morning (June 20), Sedalia Police responded to Jiffy Stop, located at 1722 West Broadway, in reference to a theft. According to the report, a man got a ride to the business with friend. When the man went inside the business, he left a wallet and $450 inside his friend's vehicle. When he came back out, the vehicle and money were gone. At this time, the suspect has not been located. There were no further details listed in the report.


On Wednesday (June 21), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested Andre Stewart for an active Pettis County warrant. According to the report, Stewart is in the Pettis County Jail.
