
Kidnapping Suspect Runs From Sedalia Police, But Later Arrested
On Thursday at 6:44 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1700 block of South Montgomery for an attempted kidnapping.
Upon arrival, the suspect was fleeing the scene. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused to stop for police.
The vehicle was located a short time later and police suspected he was inside his residence on McVey Road. Officers tried to make contact with him several times, but he refused to answer.
A warrant was obtained to enter the residence and 47-year-old Andrew Travis Jones was then arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.

Jones now faces charges of 2nd degree kidnapping, 3rd degree domestic assault, resisting arrest and armed criminal action.
