As officers arrived, a suspect was outside the business and was ordered to stop, which he didn't. Instead, the suspect ran north and a foot pursuit was under way. He was later stopped and arrested at 4th and Center.

According to a report, the suspect threw items on the ground as he ran. The items turned out to be several sets of car keys, which were later recovered near 4th and Porter.

37-year-old Shawn B. Bosworth of Sedalia was charged with stealing, 2nd degree burglary, 2nd degree property damage, resisting arrest and possession of methamphetamine. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance in a jail facility.

Bosworth was being held on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.
