On Monday at 3:04 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1600 block of Heck Avenue for a reported wanted person.

An on-scene investigation led to identification of the suspect, 21-year-old Austin Matthew Tinker of Sedalia.

Tinker fled the scene while speaking to officers.

Tinker later located and arrested, then transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Tinker was charged with resisting arrest and 3rd degree assault on a law enforcement officer.

Tinker was also wanted on a previous domestic assault charge.

Tinker was placed on a 24-hour hold. Tinker had cuts and bruises when he was taken into custody.
