Sedalia Man Charged With First Degree Arson

On the evening of December 6th, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Buckner Court for a report of a structure fire.

Upon arrival, Sedalia Fire had the fire under control and there were no injuries. The suspicious fire is under investigation. During the investigation, a suspect was identified. The suspect was later located and questioned.

The suspect, 26-year-old Quincy Diamond Pierce, of Sedalia, eventually admitted to starting the fire.

Pierce was placed under arrest for 1st degree Arson and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he is being held on a $250,000 bond.
