Sedalia Man Charged With Murder on Saturday Night

Sedalia Police responded to call of gunshots and a man on the ground late Saturday night just before 11:30.

Upon arrival, officers found a man in the street at 11th and Ohio, later identified as Adrian R. Clark, 25, of Sedalia, suffering from several gunshot wounds. He later died from his injuries.

SPD initiated an investigation and developed a suspect in the homicide. 27-year-old Elijah H. Watts of Sedalia was later arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Pettis County Sheriff's deputies assisted with scene security, it was noted.
