Sedalia Man Charged With Property Damage, Domestic Assault
On Monday shortly after 5:30 p.m., Sedalia Police arrested Benjamin Franklin Hinsberger, Jr., 31, Sedalia, for 2nd Degree Property Damage and 4th Degree Domestic Assault after officers responded to a disturbance call.
According to a report, there was an argument between a male and female. The suspect demanded she get out of her car, and reached into her car grabbed the steering wheel.
He broke off the turn signal and gear selector handles, then grabbed the victim, trying to get her to exit the vehicle, causing injury to the right side of her neck.
The suspect ran away when police were called, but Hinsberger was later located and arrested near Lamine and Cooper. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.
