Sedalia Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident On Highway 50

A Sedalia man was killed in a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon just west of the city limits.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Casey L. Allred was the operator of an eastbound 2007 Honda MC motorcycle on Highway 50, one-quarter mile west of the Sedalia city limits, at 1:46 p.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the roadway and overturned. The driver was ejected and struck a tree.  He and his motorcycle came to rest in  a ditch on the south side of the highway.

Allred was pronounced dead at the scene by Pettis County Deputy Coroner Todd Asbury. The body was taken to the Pettis County Morgue.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by Pettis County deputies.
