Sedalia Man Seriously Injured in Benton County Crash

A Sedalia man suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 5 a.m. this morning in Benton County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 66-year-old Glen A. Temple was the driver of a westbound 2001 VW Jetta on Dillon Road and Schumacher Avenue when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, impacted a cattle gate and traveled into a pasture before striking a large tree.

Temple was flown to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. It was unknown if Temple was wearing a safety device.

The Jetta was totaled and towed from the scene.
