On Saturday morning at 6 a.m., Sedalia Police observed a motorcycle traveling at excessive speeds throughout Sedalia, evading law enforcement, driving through restricted areas of police property and driving recklessly.

The driver was eventually captured, arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.

25-year-old Barry Jackson Monteer, Jr., of Sedalia, now faces charges of two counts of resisting arrest, five counts of 4th-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, driving while intoxicated, driving at an excessive rate of speed, ten counts of disobeying a stop sign, two counts of trespassing, careless driving and driving without a motorcycle endorsement.
