Local battery business target of thieves

At 9:30 Thursday morning, Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a complainant at DC Batteries located at 210 East 3rd. According to the complainant,thieves stole 18 batteries from the business sometime overnight . There was no information on possible suspects in the police report.

Johnson County accident injures a 23-year-old Holden woman

Around 11:40 Thursday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Southwest 1651 Road, south of Southwest 830 Road in Johnson County. The accident occurred as the driver of a 2003 Honda 300, 23-year-old Jensen Roberts of Holden, lost control of her vehicle, causing it to overturn on top of her. Roberts suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Research Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance for treatment.

19-year-old Mayview male injured in a Lafayette County accident Thursday night

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident that occurred at 8:20 Thursday night on Route “E” North of Keith Road in Lafayette County. The accident reportedly happened when the driver of a 1993 Oldsmobile, 19-year-old Jerrol Paul of Mayview, swerved to miss a deer and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned coming to rest on its wheels in a field. Paul was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center by Odessa Ambulance for treatment of what were described as moderate injuries.

Lincoln man injured in a one-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon

At 4:50 Thursday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident, that occurred on Route “C” West of Keseman Ave. in Benton County. The accident happened as the 1999 Oldsmobile, driven by 78-year-old Eugene Dungee of Lincoln, traveled off the roadway and struck a tree, causing extensive damage to the vehicle and moderate injuries to Dungee. Dungee was taken to Golden Valley Hospital for treatment.
