The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Jan. 8, 2014.

La Monte woman arrested for refusing to leave Bothwell Emergency Room

Just before 6:30 Tuesday evening, Sedalia Police responded to the emergency room at Bothwell Regional Health Center after a patient refused to leave after being discharged. The suspect, identified as 60-year-old Norma Jean Burton of La Monte, had refused to leave the emergency room on numerous other occasions according to the hospital staff. Burton was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was placed on 24-hold pending $816.50 bond on charges of trespassing and resisting arrest.

Burglary complaint filed early this (Wednesday) morning on West Main

At 2:49 this morning, Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the Sunset Trailer Park at 4200 West Main in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, the victim told deputies that someone had stolen his 40” television from his home. The Sheriff’s report states no arrests have been made but an investigation is underway.
